Live: UFC 237 Namajunas vs Andrade

FC 237 will be here soon, with the Strawweight Championship on the line in an evenly matched main event. The rest of the event will feature a dozen other fights from big names and bigger punchers. If you need help understanding how to buy this fight, and which package to get, don’t sweat it. Here is everything you need to know to watch Namajunas vs. Andrade UFC 237 PPV available exclusively through ESPN+

UFC 237 will broadcast live on Saturday, May 11, from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This is a split-event PPV, so the best way to watch will be through the ESPN app. The Early Prelims kick things off at 6:15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+. At 8 p.m., the Prelims move to ESPN. At 10 p.m., the Main Card takes over on PPV via ESPN+.

ESPN+ is now the only way to order UFC pay-per-view events. ESPN+ has hosted quite a few UFC fights already this year, including the previous PPV. However, if you need help understanding it all, including how to get UFC 237 PPV, here’s a quick explanation.

Much is expected in that encounter because Cris Cyborg who is the challenger used to be the champion and she will work hard to regain the title from the only woman who has defeated her for the past thirteen years. For the defender, Amanda will go all out to show that she is the real champion. This fight could be the biggest event of that card.

The fight will mean a lot to this champion. She has made history as the only and the first woman to become a double champion. These two top female fighters are from and it means a lot to two of them that the fight is going to take place in their home country before their local fans.

Cyborg, the challenger’s contract is bound to end in March. She faces many limitations because of that. She may not engage in another tough battle before that. The toughest fight she is going to face is that against Amanda Nunes.

Even the UFC president and the champion do not see anything in that fight. Cyborg may have to wait long it that bout do not take place or she has to explore another option.

How To Watch UFC 237 LIVE ONLINE

Another great UFC activity lined for the year is the UFC 237. This is scheduled to hold in May 11 and the venue is going to be in Brazil. The main contest in that card includes the much-expected fight between UFC strawweight champion currently holds by Rose Namajunas. It will be against her main challenger Jessica Andrade also known as Bate Estaca.

This will be a tough fight because the champion is going to take the battle to her enemy. The challenger is a native of Brazil. That fight taking place in Brazil is not the only main event scheduled to take place at that venue. It will be expected that it will be headlined by the name Brazil, as this is not the first time this is happening. It has happened for at least 30 other times.

There are other possible events fixed for the day. Most of the cards on that fight are merely speculations. Nobody now is sure of anything. The total schedule for that day is scheduled to be released in a few weeks to come.

Review the entire UFC 237 fight card below.

For Namajunas, this is her first trip to the cage since April 7th, 2018, where she defended her strawweight title for the very first time (against former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk). Andrade has only been a little more active; she beat Karolina Koawlkiewicz via knockout at UFC 228 in September, 2018 to earn the second UFC title fight of her career. Her first title shot came versus then-Joanna Champion in 2017. She lost that fight via a one-sided decision. Will Andrade strike gold this time or will Namajunas prove she’s going to be champ for the long haul?

The co-main event is a bizarre match-up between oft-considered GOAT Anderson Silva and rising (?) middleweight Jared Cannonier. Before that another Brazilian icon/former belt-holder takes the stage; Jose Aldo. He’s competing for another crack at his old featherweight throne, but standing in his way is the rising (!) Alexander Volkanovski. Also on the PPV card, for some reason, is a welterweight fight between Thiago Alves and Laureano Staropoli. The card was supposed to feature Francisco Trinaldo vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira in a probably exciting lightweight fight, but Ferreira’s kidneys had other ideas. So instead, opening the PPV is Irena Aldana vs. Bethe Correia (which is at catchweight thanks to Correia badly missing weight).

FC 237 will be the promotion’s next pay-per-view offering, and it will be headlined by an intriguing strawweight title fight between Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade. The co-main event slot belongs to Anderson Silva vs. Jared Cannonier, but the unofficial co-feature for most fans is likely the featherweight bout between top contender Alexander Volkanovski and all-time great Jose Aldo.

Before any of that gets to happen though, these fighters need to tip the scales on their contracted weights. The early — and official — weigh ins are underway and you can watch it on the live stream below:
